Using Occupy Baltimore

Just as is the case all over the country there are people who are picketing and making a statement about how bad the economy is by picketing in the major city centers of major cities. This is not to say that what they are doing is not making a good point and that they are simply exercising their rights to free speech but there may be better ways to channel their energy towards making things better as opposed to simply complaining about what is wrong.

Multiple Options

There are many different ways that these people who are protesting in the middle of the city could do as opposed to just taking up space and trying to make a point. The last thing that these people want is to end up like those protesting in Oakland and get sprayed with pepper spray. This is where it appears to be heading if these people do not think of other ways to get their point across.

Doing things like trying to help renovate schools and improve the overall aesthetics of the city may be a good place to start. It would make an impression and put all of that energy being used to good use.

Partake in meetings of interest for the city. There are different groups and organizations that are organized in order to decide how money will be spent and the best way to take the city into the future. Here is where a true impact on the community will be felt and a number of people will be able to make a difference by voicing opinions.
